A Cute Kitten and Perfect Light

Have you ever had light so perfect or a subject so spectacular that you just couldn’t ignore your camera staring at you from the bag? (How did it get out)

Yesterday, I had so many things to do, (shower, write 4-11 pages in my novel, make a video etc..) But when I saw Ashly sitting in the windowsill and the winter light becoming softer; I just couldn’t pass up this moment!

Even though I had a million other things to keep me busy, I paused and captured an amazing moment by just stopping and focusing what was in front of me.

We’ve all heard, and read, those people telling us to put our devises down, slow down, and enjoy the little things in life. Well, it does happen to be true; evidence is in these pictures…

The camera ended up focusing on one eye more than the other; but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad photo. We just get more of the cat’s eye texture.

Shooting animals (with a camera) is almost always SUPER hard; but Ashly was being super calm and posing like an EXPERT!

As Ashly turned her head, following the swirling snow; I followed with the lense.

Usually you only find faces half-hidden by shadows in human portraits; but it can be just as dramatic with animals.

For me, a cat’s paws are THE-CUTEST-THING about them. 😱💜

So let’s just slow down sometimes and enjoy what God has put right in front of our eyes – these moments won’t always be here; and you’ll cry later in life when you discover that you missed then. Save your tissues please. 😜

My Life as a Photographer

“Life’s a journey and an adventure, make memories from it.” ~Grace Tiberend Hey reader, welcome to my photography and writting spot! At sixteen years old, I’m a freelance photographer, writer, poet, novelist and dancer (including baton, figure skating and ballet.) I’m so in love with the outdoors, especially the mountains of Alaska, where I currently live when not traveling with a pencil, paper and camera. You can find me playing sports of all kinds; reading avidly in a tree or amongst pillows eating anything that contains PB and chocolate, and the camera forever around my neck. Jesus is my PASSION, more than I’m crazy about history, and He’s the true author of all my writings, as you’ll soon find out! Sharing Christ’s light with the world EVERY SECOND is my life mission! I enjoy creating, so if you need someone to create: -business cards, t-shirts, logos (business merchandise) -edit your photos and videos -writing protects & reviews And other projects, you can visit my profile, or hire me on Upwork.com. @Grace T. Also find me on BoredPanda.com @Grace Tiberend I hope you enjoy my blogs of photography tips, photo shoots, stories, poems with a background, how to edit using photo apps —and much more!
