With graceful fingers he perfectly sculpted the nose to do everything that would keep our lungs beating, pumping the oxygen he also created through the blood and to our heart. With his p mouth he pushed his very own breath into the start of humanity.
Watching, with of so much love He knew they wouldn’t ever grasp, God looked apon the very start of the human race; look forward to spending eternities with his most prized possessions.
Look, if this dude literally created us from a rib and dust, with His own fingers, then can’t he plan our destinies?
We are always so worried about what our futer will hold, and how to get there and accomplish our life’s calling. Why can’t we put our very lives into the palm that held our heart on Day One?
We get upset when things in our life don’t go the way that we want; when we cannot understand what’s happening, or see things in the world that bother us and make us question our creator. While you should totally have questions; just think of this- if God was wise enough the create every vein to do its biddding, the sun to be the perfect distance away from the earth so that life will perfectly grown; the eyes are more complicated than a while octopuse— He created this very body that you are living; can’t He, for Pete’s sake, know what He’s doing with His world, and YOU?

When I was little, Valentine’s Day was all about making cards for my friends, (boys included, because we were just little.) and siblings. I would look foreword to this day with anticipation; spending hours in glitter glue, feathers, paper and powdered glitter. Red, pink, purple and yellow swirled around me as I was lost in the joy of finding the perfect words to describe the person to whom the card belonged. I use to say that every Valentine’s Day seemed to only get better!
Then there was the year we were too poor to afford all the valentine materials. So we “skipped” that year. Then another and another…then we moved, so I didn’t have any new friends. (Changed countries!) When I finally did make friends, I was 13 (seriously girl!) and made some for my friends; though I felt too shy and awkward to hand them out—good thing!
Now I’m 16, and because I’ve decided to not date, waiting for the man God has for me; I’m alone on valentines. ( which is awesome cause I get all the chocolate to myself and get the entire bed while I watch a movie) While hearts are flying, and people a’kissing, I’m eating cupcakes alone. Well, not entirely alone. My siblings are all here; so I’m working to make memories for them, like the ones I had.
I feel, as a child, Valentine’s Day is so innocent and fun. We can have candy and cards without poeple singing “sit’in in a tree!” When we become teenagers, this heart day can eather be a super romantic day, a day to finally tell your crush you like him/her, or it can really suck because no one likes you. But, eh, for those of us who aren’t wanting to spend all day kissing and giving ourselves away— we’ll eather hide with a red pillow, stuffing our faces with over-priced chocolate or; hang out at home, making memories for others, like I am. 🙂
Please do not think that I am one of the many, today, morning singleness! In fact, I am rejoicing! I am very happy to be spending my life with the one who will never let me down; never leave me, brings me flowers every day!, Has a new and different gift at every turn, will never use me unrightly. Wrote me love letters that never get old and have more power than anyone else! He loves me exactly the way I am and look, thinks I’m beautiful every day and never tires of me! He is my rock and soul comforter, and, oh so much more! God is my very closest friend, and laying my purity is his palm, I am not only saving myself from som much and a girly for the one He has for me; I am honoring the one I love the most! Even if I never marry, or do, I am ultimately living for the one who DIED for me, and I could never love or repay him back enough, so living my life fully for God each day is the only thing I can do! Of course, He doesn’t want us to repay Him, it was a free gift! but I love Him so so much that I can’t help but want to please Him! Just as two lovers are interested in everything of each other and want to make the other happy and are compleatly content in their arms, so am I in the arm’s of the One who will never ever leave or forsake me!

Whenever we wonder what is happening inside them, we look to the eyes. Eyes are the window to the souls. While the mouth may say one thing, the eye will betray with a flick of innner emotion. Watch as these pictures reflect the eye of the beholder…
When you, a Photographer, want to capture the subject’s eyes and emotions; you don’t neccisarily have to zoom right up into their face, or ask them to portray a certain emotion. Just take the picture, then later, edit and zoom up into the face (as I’ve done with all the photos here) to focus more on the eyes. Real, non propped emotion, will show through more real than ‘forced’.
So, did my photos tell stories through the eyes? If they did, I hope I inspired you to “capture eyes.” It really is very easy, not as hard as it may seem or sound. You don’t have to blur everything around the subject’s eyes, or have some high-tech-zooming-lens…just take the picture, and edit or manually zoom in on you device—or leave the photo the way it is. Either way, the eye will always speak.

“What do they think of me?”
“Is my laugh too awkward?”
“If I wear these shoes that I like so much, will it get me out of the cool-group and in with the losers?”
“Why is he staring at me like that? Is there something wrong with how I look?”
“Did I say all the right things? What if I sounded like a weirdo or a dork?”
“Why are my legs so fat and all the others in the world are wonderfully slim?”
“Oh my gosh, why won’t this acne go away and be smooth like my friend’s faces?!”
“Am I worth anything?”
“Am I enough…?”
Self Image. It’s something we all have, or are, struggling with. We spend hours, and loads of money and time to make sure we look ‘good’; have all the trending styles, name brand clothing, long lashes, thin bodies…and all for what? So we can feel and look like everyone else?
How many times have we walked to the mirror and sighed? How many times have we caught a glimps of ourselves against someone else and been depressed and angry with our appearance for the rest of the week? We look at others for our comfort or image. When there is someone who is ‘larger’ or ‘uglier’ than us, we look at ourselves and think, “oh, well, I don’t actually look so bad!” We strut off to the beach to display our ‘newly found beauty’ and ‘image’…only to find everyone else is gorgeously tanned and thinner than life! We wrap a towel around ourselves and slink back into the shadows…rejected and ugly once again. Sound familiar?
Many people fall into depression, commit suicide, ruin thier faces by loads of “cover-ups”, spend thousands of dollars on surgeries that they later regret…not being satisfied with how we look leads to the deepest, darkest, pits of life; all because we let others tell us how our bodies, faces, and hair, should look.
What if we were to stop sighing in the mirror; walk into a store with confidence; sit amongst a group of people and not worry about our laughter and thighs? Just be OURSELVES and LOVE how our image appears—because it is YOU!
Now, it is okay to lose some weight if we are TRULY overweight, change a bad trait in our personality, wanting to get more muscle, grow our hair out and straighten or curl it; wearing makeup is even fine. But so long as all this doesn’t become our MAIN focuse; something to hide under and change ourselves into something we truly are not. You were created with a purpose, and your creator (what He thinks of us matters The Most!) says that he will, “… hold you in his hand for all to see— a splendid crown in the hand of God.” If we can find our true self image, who we are; our confidence in God, then it will never be lost! We can always know who we are are in His hand, and trust him that ALL His works are wonderful. And we can praise Him for that!

Pictures can canpture a thousand words, as the saying goes. Words can transporting us to different times and worlds; bringing nations together, or tearing them apart. Words are powerful; but a picture can sometimes speak more than all the words in the world can.
Pictures capture an art; the art of the person in front of the lense, their feelings. It can capture the feel of mystic lakes and mountains. Tell a story through eyes. Pictures speak where words cannot.
Just like photos, mountains are a thing to be seen and marveled at. They “ask us to ponder our inner being.” As Jane Kirkpatrick said in her book “Everything she didn’t say.” Mountains also draw us to find their creator—God. Through mountains, people, sense the dawn of time, have found consoles in them. That is why I wish to share a glimpse of the mountains I breath under with you…
